Fellowship Ranking Criteria
The purpose of the Fellowship Awards is to encourage new applicants to further their career in research in the field of clinical pharmacology. The Fellowships are renewable once, but in general, preference is given to new applicants.
Each submission (application and letters of support) is ranked according to the following 4 criteria:
- The candidate's ability (intellectual, educational, clinical, research, interpersonal skills)
Score: 0 - 7
- The suitability of the environment (supervision, mentoring, resource support)
Score: 0 - 7
- The long-term potential for the candidate to contribute to the field of clinical pharmacology in Canada (career path and opportunities in research, academia, industry)
Score: 0 - 4
- The suitability of the project (quality of science, relevance, feasibility) Score: 0 - 2
Each member of the Awards Committee ranks the candidates out of a possible maximum score of 20. If a reviewer feels that an application is incomplete or that the candidate is unsuitable for a Fellowship Award, the reviewer will designate the application as "not acceptable". In the eventuality of potential conflict of interest, the committee member will not be eligible to rank the candidate.
